Senior Food Services

Food Services provides nutritious home delivered meals to low-income homebound elderly and disabled people in the greater New Haven area. In addition to addressing the nutritional needs of the homebound elderly and disabled, LifeBridge also operates 20 senior community cafes in senior centers and subsidized housing projects. Our “Senior Dine” program provides a progressive alternative to dining at traditional congregate cafes by offering subsidized meals at local area restaurants.

FreshConnections

In June 2016, LifeBridge launched a new social enterprise to provide affordable, fresh fruit and vegetables in food desert areas where many of Bridgeport’s poorest people live. The fresh produce is purchased in bulk, packaged into pre-ordered boxes and delivered to conveniently located distribution centers in low-income neighborhoods. Participants also receive comprehensive social services drawn from our extensive behavioral health, economic empowerment and social enterprise programs.
