WORKSHOP IN BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES (WIBO)
Since 1999, we have offered our signature Workshop in Business Opportunities (WIBO) program, which provides 16 weeks of comprehensive business knowledge and training on all aspects of owning and running a small business. Since its inception, more than 600 participants have completed the program creating wealth building opportunities through entrepreneurship and contributing to the vibrancy of the Greater Bridgeport’s small business community.
WIBO is offered twice a year in the Winter/Spring and Fall on Tuesday evenings from 6pm to 9pm, and beginning Fall 2017 we will have a Wednesday class from 10am-1pm. To fill out our online application for Spring 2018, please click here.
We are an affiliate of the WIBO program, which was created in New York City in the 1960’s. Additional information about WIBO can be found here.
SMALL BUSINESS WORKSHOPS
In addition to the WIBO program, the Small Business Development program offers monthly workshops on a variety of topics to help small business owners grow and succeed. The workshops are open to the general public and upcoming events can be viewed on the Economic Empowerment calendar, which can be found here.
Many of the entrepreneurs who have completed the WIBO program continue to develop and grow their businesses. Help support these local small business owners by considering them for your next project. A listing of small business owners can be found here.
