Harold Trischman, Jr., Managing Director and Family Wealth Director of the Morgan Stanley Trischman Group

Harold “Butch” Trischman joined the LifeBridge Board of Directors in 2010.  He served as Board Chair from 2015-2017 and continues to serve on the Board of Directors today.  Butch grew up in Trumbull and comes from a family that values volunteerism.  His world view empowers the individual in civil society, rather than reliance on government.  Butch values LifeBridge’s “hands up” approach, helping people become self-sufficient members of society.

When Butch sets a goal, he is “all in” and his enthusiasm spreads to others.  He has led the charge with LifeBridge event fund raising, bringing both family and friends together along the journey. Butch is proud of the work he has done to support LifeBridge by providing time, talent, and treasure.  He has chaired the Giving Day event, winning first place this year for most donors in Fairfield County and he has recruited others to help make a difference.  Butch believes in a social contract, that there is obligation to fill the void when there is smaller government support, and that nonprofits do it efficiently. And, he has chosen to focus his efforts through LifeBridge.

Butch has been active in non-profits in two different capacities:  Professionally managing money and helping non-profits raise money and firm up their finances.  He served on the board of Fairfield Pop Warner Football and Cheerleading and as an advisor to New Pond Farm Foundation in Redding Ct.

Harold earned his Bachelor of Biochemistry from McGill University in 1983 and an MBA in International Finance from New York University in 1993.  After graduation Harold moved back to the area and despite the biochemistry background was drawn more to the financial world.  He was hired by Shearson Lehman Bros and started in their training program in 1985.  He has stayed with that original firm (which has now evolved into Morgan Stanley Smith Barney) ever since.  He is currently Managing Director and Family Wealth Director of the Morgan Stanley Trischman Group. He resides in Fairfield, CT with his wife.
