Oh what a night! On Wednesday, June 12, we hosted our inaugural Building a Brighter Future Gala supporting our mission to partner with Bridgeport’s youth and families to build resilience. The event was held at the Country Club of Fairfield. Gala leadership included ESPN Sports Commentator Bob Ley as Honorary Chair and Master of Ceremonies; Gala Committee Co-Chairs were Laura Coughlin and Susan Trischman. President and CEO, Alan Mathis announced the development of a new LifeBridge center for youth development to enable LifeBridge to expand its capacity to serve youth within the context of the family and better meet the needs of the one out of every three Bridgeport children who live in poverty.

We honored legacy champions while celebrating our future. Former President and CEO Brian Langdon was honored by establishing the Brian Langdon Award for extraordinary leadership and awarding it to its first five recipients: Lawrence J. Ganim, President & CEO of Ganim Financial, Michael E. Harkins, President & CEO of People’s Securities, Inc., Ellen Tower, Community Development Professional, Harold Trischman, Jr., Managing Director and Family Wealth Director of the Morgan Stanley Trischman Group and Kenneth Weinstein, President & CEO of Newtown Savings Bank (read bios below).

The night also recognized the significant contributions of an incredible supporter who passed earlier this year – Adam Wolf, a Trumbull resident and long-time supporter of LifeBridge. Gifts in memory of Adam Wolf are still being collected.

Warm & heartfelt thanks!
